Repairs
We offer an extensive range of piano repairs. Here are a few examples:

Full overhaul
- All worn parts are replaced, and all necessary repairs carried out.
- Minor repairs
- One or two small repairs are carried out.
- Minor keyboard repairs
- Repair a chipped or broken key.
- Full keyboard repairs
- Perhaps your keys have become chipped and yellowed. We can replace them with brand new keys in either white or off-white finish.
- Castor repairs
- Perhaps your castors have seized up, or perhaps your existing castors mark your floor. We can help you resolve problems like this.
- Pedal repairs
- Sometimes the pedals just don’t feel right, or they may squeak, and ruin your enjoyment of a piece of music. We can make adjustments so they operate silently and feel right for you. We can also replace old battered pedals with a new set chosen from a variety of modern and traditional styles.
- Piano backing repairs
- Some older pianos have a material backing enclosing the back of the piano. This backing, can become torn. We can replace this for you.
- Professional cleaning
- Every five years or so you may wish to have your piano professionally cleaned. This removes all the dirt and grit, which can accelerate the wear and tear of piano felts. See Professional cleaning On the tuning page. Please note, only qualified piano technicians should attempt this type of cleaning.
all work is carried out to a very high standard and guaranteed.
Normally within six weeks of completing an overhaul, we will return to check the work, and make any necessary adjustments.
